The Orchard is a newer, family-friendly neigbourhood in northeast Burlington. It sits between Dundas and Upper Middle Road, east of Appleby Line. The neighbourhood was develped between the mid-1990's into the early 2000's.
A number of builders were active in the development of the Orchard. Mattamy Homes, Fernbrook Homes, Valery Homes, Branthaven Homes, Sundial Homes and Losani all had a hand in the develpment of the area.
The Orchard community offers an impressive list of shopping and amenities nearby. Longos, Fortinos, Walmart, Winners, Shoppers, LA Fitness, LCBO, Starbucks and a number of pubs and restaurants.
Plenty of neighbourhood parks such as Emerson, Brada Woods and Pathfinder Parks along with numerous trails for walking, biking and running. The Orchard also borders the Bronte Provincial Park.
The Orchard has a number of freehold townhouse options for sale or rent that range in size from just over 1,100 square feet up to almost 2,000 square feet. Most are three bedroom, two-story floor plans, but there are also some three-story options.
There is a limited number of condominium townhome choices to be found in The Orchard. At 2169 Orchard Road you will find the upscale Greystones townhomes built by Losani in 2003. There is another set of higher end condo townhomes at 5151 Upper Middle Road. And lastly, at 2282 Orchard Road there are some executive condo townhouses available.
